GENERIC TRAINING PLANS
CREATE MEDIOCRE RESULTS.
For a personal best, you need a truly personal plan.
Generic online training plans are designed for "the perfect runner" -- the long-time athlete with lots of free time, lots of running know-how and an impossible resistance to injury and fatigue.
Runner-created training schedules also tend to be overly-ambitious and unncessarily aggressive. ONE GOOD RUN's day-to-day training plans follow RRCA-certified training cycles, comprising a
long-term "base-building" phase to safely increase your weekly mileage, and a short, focused
"sharpening" phase, easing you in to your goal race pace.
Typical training plans comprise 3 walk/runs each week and increase by 10-15%, in either time or distance, every 6 days. Customized schedules account for each client's previous exercise history, current fitness level, injuries, time restrictions, route preferences and standard walk/running pace.
Training plans cost:
$100 for the first month (includes one free month of virtual training!)
$25 a month afterward
Each plan includes:
- an initial, telephone consultation, assessing your physical history, current fitness
level, injuries and training goals.
- a customized day-by-day training plan, designed to support your goals and guard against
fatigue, boredom and injury.
Clients receive their training plans by email at the start of each month. Month-by-month planning allows for constant modification, in case of injury, time constraints, boredom, under- or over-training.
